UNBC and CNC will  hold their convocation ceremonies this weekend, starting with  UNBC today.

About 700 UNBC students will officially graduate at ceremonies set to start at 1:30 this afternoon a CN Centre.  There wil be  a coupe of special notes to the event, with honorary degrees being presented to Prnce George author Barry McKinnon and  to  scientis Thomas Brzustowski.  Physics professor Ahmed Hussein will be named a progessor emeritus  in recognition of his distinguished 30 year career. 

This will be the first graduation class for a couple of programs.  17 students have  completed the  Master of Business Administration degree as that program started in 2004 and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Quesnel is producing its first  15 graduates.

Tomorrow afternoon, the College of New Caledonia will take over the CN Centre for its convocation when the 15th annual CNC convocation starts at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
