Murray Penhale (Al) shows off the cheque  for his big prize!

This morning, Murray Penhale of Prince George, went to  have his pacemaker checked.  The gal at the  hospital told him it was a-o-k, and suggested the 80 year old  go out and celebrate.

Murray decided to head to the Treasure Cove Casino, and sat down at a B.C. Gold slot machine.   After spending about $3.00,  Murray  picked nine lines to win (at 2 cents a line) and hit it big!

"All of a sudden the machine just stopped, everything stopped, and I didn’t know what was happening because all these peple were heading toward me." says Penhale.  What was happening  wasthat Murray had just hit the jackpot and the machine was to pay out the largest  prize ever awarded at a slot machine at the Treasure Cove, $156,528.91

The Casino paid him out in a cheque, but Murray doesn’t know what he will do with his windfall.  He says he still can’t believe it, and it is just "wonderful, very nice!, I don’t  know what I’m going to do with it yet, but I know I’m going to enjoy it, that’s for sure!".

Hey.....that's my Dad!!!!!!! Way to go Dad....you deserve it!!!
I always wanted to marry into money....so what ya doing for dinner tomorrow Jeannie ? LOL
Congrats Murray! I just wonder how many others will waste their money in the remote chance that they might repeat his good luck. The running of gambling in British Columbia by our government is immoral but, at least a small part of the haul will stay in Prince George. For every Murray there are hundreds off thousands of losers.
Awesome!
Sorry Marty....already married! thanks for the laugh though.....
Congratz Al!
You deserve it! Enjoy!
