Property Recovered

There may be some good news for cabin owners at Cluculz Lake. 

A large quantity of stolen property has been recovered by the Vanderhoof RCMP. Items include outboard boat motors, fishing tackle and other fishing gear, tools and hardware, and other miscellaneous items. 

Fred Doig, a member of the Cluculz Lake Citizen Patrol says “Crime in Cluculz Lake is worse this year than in past years. It seems to go in rashes.” 

Doig tells of one case where a resident removed the tires from the trailer his sailboat was on, to prevent it from being stolen.

It didn’t work – the thieves brought their own tires.

Anyone wishing to claim items is asked to contact the Vanderhoof RCMP at 567-2222.
