The Forest Practices Board will begin a week long examination of the operations of Carrier Lumber Ltd. and Chunzoolh Forest Products July 10th.

Both companies' operations within a 75 kilometre radius of Prince George will be examined by three board auditors, and one professional engineer.

The activities going under the microscope all relate to the salvage of beetle-infested timber.

The FPB, which selects operations to audit on a random basis, rather than because of their location or levels of performance says its report into the road construction, maintenance and deactivation, and timber harvesting activities of both Carrier and Chunzoolh will eventually be made public... but any parties impacted by the findings will have an opportunity to respond first.
