The month-long gun amnesty has so far taken in 24 guns in Prince George.
The number isn’t an official count, says Prince George RCMP Constable Gary Godwin. The amnesty continues until midnight tonight, and more could yet be turned in.
The gun amnesty is going on throughout the province this month. Owners with guns they want to get rid of should call police to have them picked up and destroyed.

Apparently, next month is machete amnesty and August is scheduled to be axe amnesty.
My mom took in my dad's old 410 shotgun! Tick me off! At least dad gave me his old striaght razor before he past on. That old 410 had a lot of fond memorirs and stories, I would have liked to have kept it. But mom's know best and now it's been burnt and scrapped. Everybody's happy.
Re: Sled Ed's post...now the world is a safer place. (tongue in cheek)

Too bad to lose not only a sentimental item but also a handy little firearm. Never seen a criminal case involving a .410, but I'm sure the chickens are happy about the deal.
