Lightening on Sunday caused 10 forest fires in the Vanderhoof area. Only one fire, at Knewstubb Lake, is larger than 10 hectares.
The Knewstubb fire is 580 hectares and 70% contained. There are currently 20 firefighters on scene, along with a Martin Mars water bomber. The Martin Mars Bomber is the world’s largest water bomber.
