All over Prince George, gas prices have jumped to  a shade below $1.18 per litre.

Interesting to note, last week (Thursday)you could fill up in Saskatchewan for $1.04 per litre. The price was similar in Alberta.

The difference is probably in the BC taxes.
The web site below contains a chart of the taxes paid for gas in each province at $1 litre. BC charges less than Saskatchewan at that price. The difference is likely somewhere else in the system.

Williams Lake as of 11Pm July 8 was still $110.9.
100 Mile was 111.9.
And the fuel is trucked there...so who is kidding who.....
we are getting hosed...big time.....
The price of gas in Winnipeg is 81.2 per litre before mark up including taxes, Prince Albert, Sask.81.4, Lloydminster. Alberta 82.8 Brandon, Manitoba 81.3 Saskatoon, 81.1.
The average in these cities is Winnipeg 108.8
Prince Albert , 112.8
LLoydminster 107.9
Brandon 109.0
Saskatoon 112.4

Prince George before mark up including taxes 81.2, sale price 117.9
that says it all !!
So, why doesn't everyone lobby the government to reduce the taxes on fuel? All I ever hear is people slamming corporations. Well, they actually produce the product. The government does nothing. I say reduce the taxes. Chester
Hey Chester, I did contact Mr Campbell and more or less got told to go somewhere....he is an arrogant....well I shall stop before i get in too deep, but the round about it is that he could care less as the govenment is getting all the taxes without doing anything.....our local governmet reps sounded like I was listening to a play back recording of campbell.
Read Meisner's postings--it is NOT the government.
Price is based on "whatever the traffic will bear."
Apparently Prince George residents may complain, but willingly hit for the pumps, pay the price, and do not worry about jumping into their vehicles and conserving their fuel costs. If they want to head anywhere, they go.
I see many residents fueling up at stations all over the city, but that 5 cents a litre offered by Super Store does not matter, so what does that tell you? The higher price in Prince George is just something to complain about, and you can rest assured that throughout the years your complaints have fallen on deaf ears.
If you think you have had any impact on the fuel companies with all the publicity you have given them about higher prices in Prince George, you are very busy fooling yourselves.
Prince George is the goose that lays the golden eggs, whenever they decide to capitalize on gas prices.
Hope the tourists have sense enough to by pass.
Trusted, if 34% of every dollar goes to some level of government in taxes, then 34% of $1.17 also goes to the government. You don't hear them complaining.

I'm just making the point that a larger portion of the cost of fuel is taxes after the production of it. The smallest share is the distributer who has to face our wrath. Chester
The oil producing nations are hiking the cost per barrel, trying to run the US war machine out of money so they will pack up, go home, and mind their own business. Meanwhile we all pay the price.
