So you want to be a photographer. Start snapping!!!
The Ministry of the Enviroment is joining forces with Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS-BC)BC in sponsoring a contest.
It's the “Picture My Parks” B.C. Photo Contest. Photos have to be taken in a B.C. Provincial park, and they have to include people.
There are four categories
- Family & Fun,
- Adventure & Physical Challenge,
- Spirit & Solitude, and
- Community & Outdoor Education.
Grand prizes include a Wanderer 2 tent, backpack and sleeping bag from Mountain Equipment Co-op, and a two-night stay for two at the beautiful Kokanee Glacier Cabin.
There is also a prize for the best picture taken by someone under the age of 18. You have till November 1st of this year to send in your entry.
