About one hundred fire fighters from Oregon and Montana are in the Prince George Fire Centre. Most have been deployed to the "Carp Lake Complex", a group of five fires in the Carp Lake area about 100 km northwest of Prince George.

Prince George Fire Centre spokesperson Barb Durau says the US crews are expected to be here for about another week.  While there was no specific call for extra help from the States, Durau says the additional  crews will replace the Ontario crews  which will be heading home because of increased activity in that province.

The U.S. crews include teams of highly organized, highly trained initial attack crews that are typically deployed to tougher assignments.

Right now the fire danger in the Prince Geoge Fire Centre is low to moderate.

Interesting that they are here instead of helping the helpless in California.
That or the California fires are not what is claimed, or the crews aren't....
my opinion
Seems like a reasonable conclusion based on the information at hand.

Maybe there is something we do not know, such that the firecrews are trained for different terrain and fire conditions .......

or that they speak English instead of Spanish.

;-)
Oh, they speak????
