More Alleged RV Parking In Parking Lots

They say a picture is worth a thousand words,  Opinion 250 wonders how many dollars in  zoning bylaw infraction fines these pictures are alleged to represent.

Last week, Mayor Kinsley said reports of people parking overnight in big box parking lots  were just allegations.  We offer for the Mayor's perusal, some photos, which although the 5th wheelers have their aerial's up, and the vents open, and they APPEAR  parked for the night,  maybe  we're  jumping the gun, or maybe they prefer to park at the Casino:

It isn't too easy to spot, by we did note, these motor homes  (parked behind Treasure Cove) had their stabilizing jacks out, and the "push outs" normally "Pushed-IN" for driving, were definitely "pushed- OUT" But then again,  allegations are just allegations.  Perhaps the owners of these motorhomes like to drive with the stabilizing jacks dragging, or the wind resistance caused by those push-outs!

Are we going to be known as the pan handler city of the North?

Harrassing every tourist that goes through town nickle and diming them to death for the sake of a few campgrounds that don't have anything to offer...
NO NO NO Chad!!!! Does it not make more sense to harass the private property owner and force him to take action against the tourists. After all, another black eye against this wonderful "heartland", capital of the North, city will not appeal to the powers that be at city hall. They must send that ex cop-city cop and his faithful crew out to warn the offending businesses of the serious consequences they will be the recipients of if they do not get those tourists moving along. The wrath of the Mayor and Council, and of course the disastrous repercussions that surely will be bestowed on them will become evident if they do not comply, and post haste!!!! Mind you, that Treasure Cove could possibly be "off limits."
Time will tell!!! Let's see how much weight this bylaw cop really has. Should prove interesting!! Look out- we may see line ups of tourists vehicles exiting this city in the middle of the night yet??? Power-that's what it's all about-power. The mighty sword shall fall-and the tourists shall steal away into the night. Oh my-I shall try and get it out and known so they know not to stop in this city. Hope they all have C B's.
By the way, any person or persons who have supposedly broken a by law in this city and been taken to task for it-pay attention!! Will a "blind eye" be turned on this issue. We have at least 2 months to pay attention!!!!Let us see how fair and honest these city employees really are!!!
Maybe we should issue Ben a tin badge and a ticket book, so he can get out there and "kick some of those pesky tourist butts" off the private parking lots, hopefully before they do something horrible, such as leaving a little money behind somewhere other than at a "private campground"!! (Remember we closed down the city campgrounds)!! Of course, the fines would double if they had the gall to unhitch the tow(ed) vehicle, and head into town or on a tour of the city.
I wonder where Ben's RV owner guests would be parking if they drop in for a visit?? Obviously not at his home and on private property!!
There is no infraction of the zoning by law in my opinion.

The zoning bylaw under section 29 is silent about overnight parking.

Nevertheless the practice of preventing such uses of Walmart parking lots seems to be increasing.

But, I am relatively sure of one thing, those who travel with such self-contained units will continue to look for overnight parking spaces that are either free or relatively cheap since they rarely need the facilities provided by such RV parks.
Truthfully, what are they hurting other than the pockets of the local campgrounds who generally fare the season quite well anyways? Let's face it, when you pay that much money for a fancy home on wheels, can you really afford to pay nightly rent somewhere? Ha ha. Seriously, they don't really hurt anyone, they don't leave a mess, and if they do they deserve to lose everything they have in a personal tax audit!! Our police force surely has better things to do than issue citations to sleeping people ????
Obviously "lil colin" does not have the cahonies to deal with the problem. Hey I know, we have a pit bull down at city hall, that goes by the name of barney skakun. he just took on the battle of the hockey enforcers and showed some real mettle. i bet he wouldn't mind being a nighttime security guard and laying some smack down on some geriatric americans on their way to alaska. i bet they would come back for more eh barney. maybe while the enforcers are in town ol skakun could use them for some backup in case he gets his butt whooped by some ol vietnam or korean war vet. but hey it's just an idea.

stay educated, informed, and heck why not entrtained, listen to the spank show.
