A power outage affecting about 2300 customers in the Valemont-McBride area should be repaired by noon, says a BC Hydro representative. The outage was caused by transmission failure.

The affected area is the village of Valemont, Hwy. 5 from Valemont to Tete Jaune, Hwy 16 from Tete Jaune west to Slim Creek, Dunster, McBride, Crescent Spur and Dome Creek, as well as the Slocan Sawmill and industrial area.

Gee, I really needed to know about that power failure.
Sure hard up for something that actually would be newsworthy!
Actually a friend from France reads this every now and then. Remember, while most of the people tuning in may be from PG, the internet is a global communication system.

This is Opinion 250, not Opinion PG or Opinion RDFFG.

I wish we had more news from outlying areas, including the ability to link people's on line names with communities they are living in.

How come you did not make that comment with other articles such as from the Peace? ... or Pineview???

;-)
I don't always look for ways to waste my time! Boring rainy day!
"wasted time" ... an interesting concept. Will have to look into the meaning of that sometime. But that might just be a waste of time.

;-)
trusted, if you don't need to know about it, go somewhere else maybe others would like to know about it like myself. Glad you are not the editor.

When the lights go out in PG you'll be begging for the news.
Nah! Give it a try.
Just nothing beats taking a respite, and it can be in the form of "wasting time."
Try just sitting outside with your first cup of coffee, and looking at the world. Somehow it looks a little more appealing. The trials and tribulations surface as you get busy.
More than one way in which to restore your soul!
Works for me.
Nasty, nasty, and my, your name does suit you-ACRID. Sharp, bitter, stinging!
Terrible start to your day.
I am glad I had that coffee outside to start my Sunday.
No dark cloud over my head, and you can guess who I am thanking.
By the way-I do not live in Prince George.
I suggest you worry more about the permanent "lights out" that will surely be your fate one day. Might make you want to be a little nicer?
trusted, maybe you should try some herbal teas. Caffeine obviously gets your dander up. lol
Looked outside. The deer don't seem happy about the rain. Crows were harassing the owl again. Cat caught a mouse. Pine beetle are really into the small pine, we'll have about 25 this year to cut and burn.

Nothing out of control outside. And that makes me wonder what Councillor Skaken is up to, hee hee. Need a good laugh.
Wrong again, acrid, my so called "dander" did not get up. No temper tantrum here.
Tea just cannot replace coffee. Must get my quick start with caffeine.
I just responded to you as I felt kind of sorry for you starting the day with such an obvious hate on.
I am glad you were happy with the news item of "lights out." Enjoy.
I am glad I am not the editor. Must be tough searching out news of interest daily, satisfactory to all readers. Big job. Impossible task.
No offense, to anyone.
You people must of had a bad Saturday night to post all these nasty coments.

So I'm going back to the lights out that started this post. So maybe this old news. Remember the post on the Site C we were told if we didn't import power from Alberta our ligts would go out. So there you have it, Alberta let us down by not providing enough power for Valemont.

Those Albertans are always rubbing our noses in it.

Cheers. Sleep well.

Cannot see anything nasty in what I said! Power is probably out somewhere in the province frequently. Letting us know about it is hardly what I would consider newsworthy.
Some people just look for fault!
Now I don't want to get nasty-but I abhore outright stupidity-which I just read with the remark about Albertans and power to Valemont.
Also, it is a bit early to drop off-I do not work nights.
Cheers to you too!
