You were right, July was a  real barn burner!

Environment Canada's Jim Steele reports 5 new high temperature records were set,  and  we got just a little bit less rain than normal. 

That deluge of rain that  made the weekend Folkfest the "Soak fest"  was more than one third of the  monthly total rainfall in just 24 hours!

Here are some of the numbers:

Mean Monthly Temperature     17.2     Normal   15.5
Mean Monthly Maximum          24.2     Normal   22.1
Mean Monthly Minimum           10.1     Normal     8.8

July 2nd   31.6 degrees – old record 31.1 set in 1942
       3rd   33.7 degrees – old record 30.6 set in 1942
      21st  33.5 degrees – old record 29.4 set in 1942
      22nd  33.7 degrees – old record 29.8 set in 1978
      23rd  32.3 degrees – old record 31.3 set in 1994
                                                           
Warmest Days  33.7 on both the 3rd and 22nd 
Coolest Day     3.9 on the   19th
