Following the news of a thwarted terrorist plot out of the UK, Transport Canada is tightening up security at all Canadian Airports.

The plot involved as many as three airlines  and 10 commercial flights from the U.K. to the United States.  21 people have been arrested in Britain.  The United States has  gone to Red Alert on U.S. bound flights from the U.K.

Here at home, all air travellers are advised there may be some delays going through security and should arrive at the P.G. Airport  with enough time to allow for heightened security checks.

Passengers should also re-check their carry-on luggage, because many liquids and gels will no longer be allowed in carry-on handbags or baggage.

Suntan Lotion, toothpaste, hair gel are just some of the items no longer allowed in your carry on luggage on Canadian flights.

Here are the items added to the list of items no longer allowed  in your carry on luggage.

  • Liquids or gels in containers of any size, including:
  • all beverages,
  • shampoo,
  • suntan lotion,
  • creams,
  • toothpaste,
  • hair gel,
  • and other items of similar consistency.

Passengers MAY be allowed to bring on board:

  • baby formula,
  • breast milk, or juice if a baby or small child is travelling.
  • Prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger’s ticket,
  • insulin and essential other non-prescription medicines are allowed.

Passengers should pack liquids or gels in checked baggage.

If the terrorist never do another thing they have succedded in making the world run scared.

Interesting though that the news has indicated that all the planes were allegedly destined for the USA.

And I bet it hasn't sunk in that the US tactics through the world are not appreciated.

And no I can in no way condone terrorist activities.

I have no use for the US bully tactics either.

But one does not justify the other.

Where to from here and who next?
Just watch the news, pal. And then thank yer lucky stars you are here instead of there. Simple, eh?
I agree, and I am happy I am here and not there.

I feel sorry for those around the world less fortunate than us, as long as it isn't their own fault.

I fear though that is going to get lots worse before it gets better and that is such a shame.
