There won’t be any criminal charges brought  against the RCMP officer involved in the shooting death of Ian Bush  in Houston last October.

That is the official word from the office of the Provincial Crown Counsel. According to the Crown, the information  gathered supported the officer’s claim that he acted in self defence.

22 year old Ian Bush was arrested outside a hockey arena in late October for having an open beer.  He was then taken into custody for obstruction of justice because he gave the officer a false name.

As Bush was being released, something went terribly wrong.  Ian’s family was told he had been shot in the back of the head.

Ian’s family has filed a civil suit against the officer involved.  The suit also names the Attorney General’s office.

There will be a Coroner’s inquest into the death of Ian Bush.  The date and location for that inquest have not yet been set.

It is quite common to shot someone in the back of the head in self defense cases. The nazi's used to do it regularly. Cops investigating cops is a joke and should not be acceptable. Perhaps we should be allowed to decide if we are guilty of speeding in a court of law. To me it's the same logic.
Who said it was in the back of the head?
There were more than one police force investigaing this.
All the evidence has not been given out so it is very hard to make a judgement, I would think, until that happens. There is a lot more evidence than we have been given.
As for speeding, you do have the option of having it heard in court!
I am going to reserve my judgement of either party until the facts are released.
Evidence? There was no evidence. The camera's were turned off. The officer that murdered Ian Bush was the only witness. The only evidence is the bullet hole in that back of Ians head. The citizen killers perspective should not be considered evidence.

Gofaster: Who said it was in the back of the head?

No Charges In Bush Death:
As Bush was being released, something went terribly wrong. Ian’s family was told he had been shot in the back of the head.

And we wonder why it's so hard to get people to follow along with a program. Please stop talking, you're drowning out the sound of my own thoughts of denial.

This is precisely why this kind of thing happens. Take your fingers out of your ears, stop making that la,la,la, noise and listen to what is being said to you, it's important that you hear this.

Self defence ???

I've had movements bigger than this kid !
The only way to subdue a skinny 22 year old kid is with a gunshot ? If you have trouble defending yourself against this, you shouldn't be a cop.
The bullet that was fired entered the "BACK" of the head
It seems no matter how often this is stated there are those too thick to get the message.
Was Bush going to back into this cop-was that a threatening position to get a choke hold on him?
I feel so sorry for the parents who read the ridiculous remarks by some posters.
Reserve your judgement Gofaster, but don't post such downright stupid statements.
Read, read, read, and look at the facts.
No offense! Well, not hardly!
