The Air Quality Advisory remains in effect for Prince George as the levels of fine particulate remain high.

The latest update says the high levels appear to be due to a combination of dust and combustion sources.  The weather conditions are helping to trap pollutants in the region's airshed.

Twenty-four hour levels were 47 at Downtown, 35 at College Heights and 99 at the BRC site at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.

Even though particulate levels are now below the Air Quality objective, (50) levels are expected to be high again this evening and in the morning. TheMinistry of the environment says  this Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until further notice, with an update to be provided tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m., or when changes occur.

Anyone notice how very low the Nechako River is right now. Its almost like a chain of lakes connected by small streams above the Mud. How that is good for the salmon is beyond me. Seems kind of warm for fish IMO.

Also why doesn't the city have some kind of calcium campaign to keep down the road dust, if that is the problem? Even if its not the problem it would be nice for keeping the truck clean from dust. We have a lot of gravel roads and shoulders in PG.
Due to up and down levels, officials recommend only taking every second breath.
