Air Advisory Remains In Effect

The Air Quality Advisory remains in effect, even though the 24 hour rolling average is below the target of 50. Twenty-four hour levels were 37 at Downtown, 24 at College Heights and 74 at the BRC site at 8:30 a.m. this morning.

The Ministry of the Environment's Dennis Fudge says  the levels are within targets now, but are expected to climb again later today.

The high levels appear to be due to a combination of dust and combustion sources. An upper high pressure ridge over the area continues to give dry conditions and light winds over the area trapping the pollutants in the region.

This Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until late this morning or possibly longer, with an update to be provided when changes occur.

24 hour rolling average?

I wonder if the "showers" at Auschwitz were rated on a 24 hour rolling average?
So true QuasiMe-as I believe Prince George eventually kills the residents with the pollution permitted.
After all, breathing is a necessity!
Why do I see so many more residents walking around with oxygen?
If a city is unhealthy to the point whereby so many require inhalers-why would people desire to live in it?
Why is the problem not corrected-once and for all time?
With so many trees being removed-the problem will worsen.
They must be taking this all into consideration-obvious when one goes to the cemetery.
I also see they removed roads to make more room for the deceased in the cemetery. They can now utilize what was once roadways for additional gravesites.
Just might "pay off" to the city for building that mausoleum that they told Mike Sorrenti they had no intention of building in 2002.
How do they intend to attract outsiders to that gaming center-maybe give out free inhalers.
It is almost disastrous for such a small city to have such a serious pollution problem, and for there to be no solution.
P A C H A--where are you?
We really do need a major change of the people running this city.
Or are the residents too choked up to take action?
Hee hee... "serious polution problem" ... "walking around with oxygen" ... "choked up" ... "one goes to the cemetery" ... "free inhalers". Hee hee.

For those of you that don't know, the air in Prince George is OK and people aren't dying on the street. Trusted is just having a poor health moment, but the rest of us are just fine. Sometimes PG smells like Vancouver, but it gives people something to whine about, no harm done. Over in the industrial area some roads and yards aren't paved, so they get a little dusty - just like the old days on back country roads. But it's not dusty like a coal mine or the like.

Poor trusted - hee hee!
Oh, give me a break, Yama-and grab a brain!
You really are a fine piece of work.
Read the stats before you post your ridiculous opinions, and do not surmise I am having a poor health problem. I do not even live in the area, but must enter the city fairly often on business.
If you are anything--it is definitely "NOT" fine.
Poor Yama-but then they say ignorance is bliss-so there are some happy people re this issue.
And your "hee hee" after your postings is just too too stupid-but guess the shoe fits!
