RCMP and the Prince George Youth Camp Trapping Centre are trying to track down a 14 year old who has escaped from the camp.

Without  specific permission from the Court, we are unable to  tell you the juvenile's name, we are also not  permitted to publish a photo.

The juvenile  male was reported missing this morning when staff did a routine head count.

He is  described as 5'5", weighs about 140 pounds, has green eyes and black hair.  He was last seen wearing a green parka, grey track pants and is believed to be carrying cayenne pepper spray.

It is thought he was on Highway 97 south, at Camp Creek Road.

Police are cautioning drivers to avoid picking up any hitch hikers and ask that anyone with information please contact  the RCMP.

??????????????????????????
Cayenne pepper spray? Ha ha , I put it on my plate. Heard that one before?
What's the point of letting us know he escaped? We sure as heck can't help track him down with no pictures or anything. How did he get the pepper spray?

I think all young offenders should have their names and pictures published then law abiding citizens would know who's in their neighborhood and who to watch for.

Slap on the hand and send him back out.

It sounds like Camp Trapping needs to be moved further out in bear country,Maybe then they might think twice about running away.
And how does a young offender get their hands on pepper spray anyway? It sure is a good system we got.
