Fort St John  played host to the US Ambassador to Canada, his Excellency David H. Wilkins this week.

Wilkins says he was taking the tour as part of an educational process "It gives me  a chance to get out from behind my desk in Ottawa and meet and greet Canadians".

Wilkins visited with top energy producers in the Ft. St John  area, and used the visit as an opportunity to applaud the trade relationship between our two countries. "We have one of the largest trade relationships in the world" says Wilkins who noted that relationship means hundreds of thousands of Canadian and American workers can put food on the table.

He also said that  with approximately one half of the oil produced in the Ft.St. John area flowing to the U.S. , its great to know a friend and ally has a strong and stable supply of energy "It is a good thing, for both countries" says Wilkins.
