You already know “Helena” the cougar that now lives at the Northern Lights Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Smithers. (if not, click here for the previous story)

The Shelter could use some financial help in feeding and looking after Helena, and if the full grown cat doesn’t tug at the old heart strings, let us introduce you to “Lucky”.

Lucky is a four month old cougar rescued from Vancouver Island.  (photo courtesy Prince George Cougars)

He suffered severe injuries which have limited the use of his hind legs.  He is currently undergoing medical treatment, and when he hits the age of two years, he will be placed in the same enclosure as Helena.

The Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter is a non profit agency, and a charitable tax receipt can be issued for any cash donations.

Donations can be dropped off at the Prince George Cougars office at CN Centre in Prince George.

Well ya almost had me, up till I found out the PG Cougars had their fingers in it.
No use for them so not going to help their cause...
sorry
I think one can be a little more positive and give a thumbs up to those among us who still have some compassion for the suffering of animals.

One's attitude toward the animal pictured here shouldn't be influenced by whether one likes a hockey team or not.

It is pathetic that some belittle the efforts of kind volunteers who are not doing any of the caring for injured animals for monetary rewards.

Good thing that grinches are usually outnumbered thousands of times by ordinary people.
I would like to see a local wildlife zoo in PG one day for the rehabilitation of local animals and as a promotion of animal awareness and tourism initiatives.
I may donate to the shelter,
but not going any where near the cougars office... I have no intentions of outwardly supporting anything they are involved in...
personal preferences.
