The T-birds scored two power-play goals in the first six minutes of the
third period to snap a 1-1 tie and gain a split of the double-header as PG
won the Friday game by the same 4-2 score.


Bretton Stamler had a goal and assisted on the winner by Lindsay Nielson,
while Gregg Scott, on a spectacular individual effort, and Jan Eberle into
an empty net, also tallied for Seattle.

The Cougars goals both came with the two-man advantage.

Brett Robertson had a goal and an assist to give the 20-year-old newcomer
six points in his first two games. Jared Walker also tallied for the second straight
game. 

The Thunderbirds went 2 for 15 on the power play while the Cats were 2 for 10
in front of 3,072 fans at the CN Centre. Seattle outshot the hosts 32-25
  

Prior to the contest, the Cougars acquired 18-year-old defenseman Eli Grossmann
from Seattle for a 5th round Bantam pick in 2008.
