Top Honours for Local Catcher!

Prince George Black Bears catcher Chad Ghostkeeper has been named Senior Fastpitch Athlete of the Year by Softball BC.

He is the first PG resident to win the award.

The 35-year-old Ghostkeeper batted .463 with eight homers in helping the Black Bears to a second place finish at the Senior Nationals in Prince George. He was also named the all-star catcher for the second straight year at the Canadians.

Ghostkeeper completed his season with the So Cal Bombers of California at a tournament in Mexico, where he was named MVP and top batter with eight homers.
