Chip Truck and Pick Up Drivers Charged in Crash

The driver of an empty Chip truck and the driver of a pick-up truck have both been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act following a crash at the intersection of Pacific St. and Industrial Way.

The accident took place just before 7:00 this morning.

The pick up driver was pinned in his vehicle requiring the jaws of life to free him from his wreckage. He was only slightly hurt , police say  because he was wearing his seat belt.

Speed and fog were the contributing factors in the crash and police are advising the motoring public to be aware of the season.
