A 20 year old Quesnel man, Todd Berg, has been charged with manslaughter in the death of 44 year old Ernest Carifelle of Quesnel.

Carifelle was in a fist fight outside a Mac's Cnvenience store  over the weekend. He suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.  His condition deteriorated and he was transfered to Kelowna where he underwent brain surgery.  He died early Monday morning.  A forensic autopsy is scheduled for today.

POlice say Berg and Carifelle knew each other.

A very unfortunate outcome, but not surprising. This young man is well known for fighting. It was only a matter of time.
Well, as a society, we can tolerate this behavior, encourage this behavior or decide that we will not allow this to continue. I vote that we just keep locking them up until they cool their heals and understand that they need to change. Society will not continue to allow this to continue. Chester
