Crews Continue Working to Restore Power

BC Hydro Crews continue to make repairs to lines that were downed over the weekend by a heavy snowfall in the Vanderhoof-Bulkley Valley region.

There are still power issues impacting some of the areas near Vanderhoof, Ft. St. James, Burns Lake, Takla Landing, New Hazelton, South Hazelton and the town of Houston.

The latest notation by BC Hydro indicates power may not be fully restored to all customers until 11:00 tonight.

B.C. Hydro should mark maps where the power lines fall. Could be a site for a potential windmill in the future. Think green, eh?
