Prince George's return on traffic fine revenue is up this year over last.
The Province has announced P.G. will get $1,144,447 this year.
Last year the amount was $1,128,995 and in 2004, the first year of 100% return of traffic fine revenue, the City got $992,683
Traffic fine revenue sharing funds are intended to enhance community policing, crime prevention and public safety.
The traffic fine revenue comes from paid traffic-related violation tickets and is returned to B.C. municipalities that pay their own direct policing costs.
