Telus.. The future is... Friendly?
By Ben Meisner
The logo says one thing, the reality of what's happening between the company and it's workers is another...
The dispute betwen Telus and members of the Telecommunications Workers Union continues. The Telus workers claim the company has blacked out the website the union set up explaining its position in regards to the work stoppage.
Telus is using it's own website to inform those who check in, that the Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed an application by the TWU to overturn a decision (Canadian Industrial Relations Board ruling of February of this year) that forced the two sides OUT of binding arbitration and back to collective bargainning.
Meantime as of 8.00P.M. Monday, the 300 or so Prince George Telus workers were taking turns on the picket lines at the downtown location of Telus on 6th as well as the Cowart Road location and the Hart way center.
There have been no reports of any progress in efforts to resolve the dispute.
