While the cold weather may be a inconvenience to many, not so in the travel business.

Anja at Uniglobe Sunburst Travel says the cold weather has encouraged people to look at taking a winter holiday given the early winter season.

The hot spot  is still Puerto Vallarta with a direct flight from Prince Goegre again this year, followed closely by a trip to the Mayan Riviera.

Transat Holidays introduced a direct flight from Prince George to Mexico last year and it continues to be a hit, although Anja says Hawaii is still one of the top destinations.

Because of the good prices, she adds, cruises have been looked at more and more.

According to Anja, the best deal of the month of December has to be Prince George to Puerto Vallarta beginning Dec 23rd, $398.00 air only plus taxes.

When you consider that a flight to the East coast will cut the center out of a $1,000 bill, this is an excellent value for a winter break.
