Big mop-up day at the Regional District building.

Pipes burst at the building around 5:30 this morning dumping  two inches of  water on the first floor. There is no  estimate of damage, and no word on when the building will  re-open.

Nominations opened today for the by-election to find a new Director for Electoral Area “A” of the Regional District of Fraser Fort George.

If you need nomination papers, best bet today is to download them from the Regional District’s website ( www.rdffg.bc.ca ). The nominations are open until 4:00 p.m. Friday December 8^th.

If more than one person is nominated, there will be a by-election on the 13^th of January.

As for conducting regular business with the Regional District,  the main switchboard number  (960-4400) is up and running.  It may take time to get your call answered, so you are asked to be patient.
