Prince George City Hall hopes to make an announcement within the week of who will be taking over the job as City Manager.

George Paul is leaving the post at the end of the month.

Kathleen Soltis, Manager of Corporate Services says the final selection involved four candidates being interviewed, and while she would not say if any of the candidates were “in house” applicants, she did say the City hoped to make the final selection “public within a week.”

Council is set to have a meeting on Monday night, December 4th, which may be the time when the successful applicant is introduced to Council.

No doubt it will be one of the losers at the city already. Colin doesn't want to bring in somebody who might have some vision and question his myopic and self serving management. And Colin has made it fairly clear he is likely to run on the gravy train come next election, as he wouldn't commit one way or the other when asked recently if he was running. So, expect to see one of those nodding heads, who sleep thru council meetings and offer up absolutely nothing creative or illuminating when called upon, in the city managers chair in the New Year. They are the ones who will bring you an automall to PG golf course sight. How forward thinking.
Postman, I pray and hope that you are wrong. If your right I'm leaving town.

Cheers
I hope you know who doesn't give the new guy the travel bug. We can hardly afford the status quo now.
