Overnight Housefire Sends Three to Hospital

Three people were taken to Prince George Regional Hospital overnight  suffering from smoke inhilation.

The three were in a home on South Ospika Boulevard that was the scene of a fire.

Fire officials say they got the call shortly after 2 this morning from a passerby who noticed smoke coming from the  single story structure  in the 300 block of South Ospika.    The two main floor occupants and the basement occupant were already standing outside.

The fire was contained to a couch and carpet in the living room, but fire officials say  the main floor receoved extensive heat and smoke damage. 

Careless smoking  is beleived to be the cause of the fire.

The preliminary damage estimate is $100,000.
