Environment Canada statistics for the month of December produced no records in Prince George. Abundant snowfalls were experienced during the first half of the month. Temperatures began on the chilly side for the first few days before mild weather compliments of very windy conditions persisted until almost mid month. Milder weather arrived on December 18th and remained over the area until the last week.
Precipitation in the form of snow piled up during the first half then relatively dry for the second half of the month. Snowfall was greater than normal but not by too much. Rainfall was the main culprit in pushing the monthly precipitation over the normal for the month of December. The dry period during the latter half of the month kept it well below any records for December.
