Prince George RCMP say the person killed in a traffic crash earlier today  was a 55 year old woman from Prince George.  A 58 year old man, also a Prince George resident, was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Police say  the head-on collision between the pick up truck  and a transport truck happened just after 7 this morning, south of Holmes Road on Highway 97.

The injured driver of the pick up  was wearing his seat belt, the 55 year old female passenger was also wearing a seat belt, but  police say  there was "no life space-room to live".

A third vehicle, left the road in an effort to avoid the collision, and came to rest in the ditch.  The driver of that pick-up was not hurt.

The investigation continues,  and at this time, the names of the injured or the deceased have not been released.

HEAD ON CRASH...
someone was in the wrong lane....
so where are the charges?
So, how long does it take to release the names. I am aware of two different women killed in head on collision's this week and can't confirm who each is and where it happened.

Seems to be quite a few similarities, but only one accident seems to be reported. Any confirmation would be helpful. Chester
I feel for the families of them both....
I can only hope that someone has learned something from this terrible loss.
