Mining Big Money Maker

Mines Minister, Bill Bennett, says the average mining job in BC pays $ 94,000 dollars,a year, and uses just .03% of the provinces land mass.
Bennett, speaking to the 5th annual Natural resources forum says , of the 52 main mining projects in Canada, 25 are located in BC.
 We are going to run out of Pine wood, says Bennett , and mining produces a good living for everyone.
The province he says has issued $220 million dollars in exploration permits last year and hope to exceed that number this
 year
750 exploration permits were issued last year, that is 100 more then 2005, and 500 more then in 2001.

Each proposal should be passed on its own merrits. The damage a mining company can do to our environment should not be subsidiezed by society and other tax payers IMO.
