New Turf A Soccer Treat

Prince George Youth Soccer Players practise on new artficial field turf
The Prince George Youth Soccer Association’s new indoor soccer facility is open for business. The former District 57 warehouse was transformed into two indoor artificial grass turf soccer fields. PGYSA indoor soccer programs were nearly full before the first ball was kicked in the new indoor soccer home. Between skill development and games of futsal, youth soccer players will be on the grass turf seven days a week. Sipho Sibiya, the new technical head coach of the Prince George Youth Soccer Association, is just as excited as the youth players to step onto the new artificial field turf.
“It makes it realistic, you know in the gym you don’t get the true bounce and the ball is tough to control, but here we can simulate the outdoor game and that is what you want,” Sibiya said.
The PGYSA indoor program is for ages 4-18 with over 500 soccer players registered for some “green” in the white of winter.
