UNBC student Jacqui Benson finished 24^th out of 65 cross country skiers in the Ladies 1.2km Sprint at the Winter University Games in Italy.  Three Canadians, Benson of Prince George, Christine Bisson of Quebec City and Rhonda Sandau of Canmore reached the quarter-finals of the Sprint on the Pragelato course. Justyna Kowalczk of Poland captured her second gold medal in as many events in cross country skiing. Bisson from Laval University was the top Canadian placing 16^th overall. The next Ladies Nordic ski race at the 2007 Winter Universiade is the 3 x 5k Relay on Tuesday.
