Prince George RCMP have just released information about an accident in our city over the weekend that claimed the life of a Langley truck driver.
Police say 67-year-old Thomas Alfred Gourley had been working around his low-bed tractor trailor truck in the 22-hundred block of Quinn Street on Sunday morning when he was killed by a piece of heavy equipment on the truck.
RCMP say it appears that, in an attempt to move a large and very heavy "loader bucket", the man was fatally injured when the bucket fell on him.
No foul play is suspected in Gourley's death. The file has now been turned over to the B.C. Coroner's office for further investigation.
