Blizzard Speedskater A Blur At Weekend Meet

Prince George Blizzard speed skater Sarah Pousette posted personal bests in all her races and arrived home with a silver medal for her efforts.

Pousette earned the medal at the Canadian Junior Long Track Championships in Fort St. John this past weekend as part of the B.C. Women's Pursuit Team.

The young Prince George athlete posted personal bests in all distances (500m, 1000m, 1500m and 3000m) at
this Olympic-style Championship and finished in the top half of the field of Canadian Junior Women in her first year competing at the event.

This is the same age group competing at the Canada Winter Games next month in Whitehorse in preparation for the World Championship taking place at the end of February in Innsbruck, Austria.
