Two In Custody over Wire Theft

Two males were arrested by Prince George RCMP  just after 3:00 this morning after a motorist in the Cowart Road area,  tipped them off to  a couple of suspicious people.

Police responded to the scene and found two males, on bikes with a modified  dolly loaded with about 150 pounds of copper wire. The two also had  housebreaking instruments. Police checked the nearby Telus Compound and discovered the fence has been  tampered with and two spools of copper wire, worth thousand of dollars, had been removed from the compound.  

One of the two males arrested is a 29 year old Prince George resident.  He was released to appear in Court at a later date, the other suspect has yet to be positively identified  by police.
