Back To Budget At City Hall
By 250 News
Prince George City Council is back to budget work today with two sessions. The first is set for 4:30 this afternoon, the second at 7:00 tonight.
The preliminary report on the public input sessions for the road repair levy are expected to be presented to Council although Council is not expected to make any final decision on the matter. That levy would be added to the total tax bill and would create a slush fund for road repairs.
The most expensive enhancement request to be presented today is for "enhanced pot hole patching". The $213 thousand dollar request would go towards hiring another two person crw to work day or afternoon shifts throughout the spring-summer and fall. It would also provide enough money for the purchase of a Thermolay Hot Box and truck chassis. The additional crew and truck would make it easier for crews to make the repairs within two days of receiving a complaint.
