By 250 News
Prince George RCMP have made two arrests in connection with a series of disturbing slingshot shootings along Queensway Street over a six-day span.
Police are just now releasing details of the arrests that occurred last night. Plain-clothes officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the 15-hundred block of Queensway and took two 19-year-old city men into custody, they also seized a slingshot from the home.
Since last Friday, RCMP have received at least 14 complaints - at least one person was hit by a steel ball bearing, several vehicle windows were smashed as motorists were travelling down Queensway, and a number of businesses and a residence were damaged.
Constable Richard Brown at the Prince George Detachment is asking anyone who may have been injured in a similar incident, but not reported it to police, to come forward.
The suspects were held in custody overnight. Charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and 14 counts of mischief are pending.
