Opinion250 has learned the City of Prince George and Deputy Fire Chief Dale Kronebusch have "parted ways".

Prince George City Manager Derek Bates has confirmed Kronebusch is no longer employed by  the City, but that is the only comment  he is able to make.  Neither the City nor Kronebusch are offering any information as to the reason  why Kronebusch is no longer in the post, and no longer employed.

Kronebusch first joined the Prince George Fire department as a volunteer in 1975.  He  started  a salary position in 1978.  He was named Deputy Chief two and a half years ago.

Probably gone fishing. Its almost summer.
Yes, judging by the 3 feet of snow on my lawn!
He's probably worked it out that with his length of service, his pension and severance pay will be more than adequate to live on. When you near 30 yrs of service and you are pensionable, you're actually working for half your salary...maybe less! So why work? Take life easy on a good pension and/or do things you like to do! You'll live longer!
If this is the same Dale I know than he is an excellent fidhing guide. Usually spends four months of the year as a guide making $400 dollars a day during his holiday time anyways. Why not give the city notice you're going to be fishing this year and collect your pension....
