One person  has been treated for gunshot wounds after  falling victim to a drive by shooting in the  North Nechako, Foothills Boulevard region of Prince George.

Police say  a resident was driving in the  area  around 8 last night, when a vehicle pulled up beside  him and someone  fired a number of shots from what  is believed to be a handgun.

The victim was able to drive himself to hospital for treatment.  The victim is a 23 year old male who had lived in Prince George before moving to the lower mainland.  He is  here visiting friends and family.

Police don't believe this was a random act, as they believe the  victim was followed for some  time  before the shooting.

Police are looking for an older model  blue Nissan 240 ZX.  This model has the longer hood and a chrome gas cap.  Anyone with information is asked to call police.

What is this world coming to?
Sad....
Washington d.c. of the North
(oh I hope not)
I guess the only thing to do is move further North, way further.
metalman.
Known to police they say..no doubt drugs are involved...and he missed. What a shame.
The thing is not to move away and relinquish even more developed land to people like this, to run their own little kingdoms. The thing is to stand up and push back, telling them to move somewhere else. Remember, we were here first. This is OUR home, not theirs.
THE S$@T HEADS HAVE GUNS..SO MUCH FOR GUN CONTROL. SOLUTION.... CHANGE THE LAW AND LET HONEST PEOPLE HAVE GUNS. LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD. NO WAR WAS EVER WON BY TAKING A ROCK TO A GUN FIGHT. WORKS IN TEXAS.
Two thoughts...

The culture of violence that Hollywood makes look like so much fun is spreading it's filth throughout the planet. Reject Hollywood - stop giving them your money!

The "war on drugs" will never work for the simple reason that as long as money is worshipped there will be people that will do ANYTHING to get hold of it. It is a battle that will never end until we either turn our country into a police state or legalize all drugs as booze is. Don't see a middle ground.

Any other suggestions?
It's the boys in the Crew. Time for some action if we want to keep our streets safe, because the police's hands are full......and tied.
I am not sure where the above comes from but that is ok...

1st---it doesn't say the victim was known to police.....maybe a news broadcast somewhere may have said so and if so I missed it..

2nd... there is nothing here that says it had anything to do with drugs....maybe someone was caught playing with someone elses wife or property, or who knows what??? It may have been totally random or mistaken identity??

Or maybe not!

It stated on the radio that they were known to police. And please excuse me if I automatically assume that drugs were involved. What was I thinking.
and you could well be right....
Drugs were involved. So was the victim not being loyal to the Renegades. This is the suspected rumor anyways.
Just goes to show how effective law enforcement has been in the "war on drugs" The police are outnumbered, out weaponed, out financed and have to abide by the rules in dealing with the drug trade. Dealers have no rules. so who do you think is going to win this imaginary war? They arrest some of the upper management types and all it does is destablize the drug trade in the area for a year or two until the replacements all learn to work together. Until then we see house fires and shootings. Like KEVIN 1006 said as long as we continue to worship our false god (MONEY) we are lost. Our society is fundamnetally sick because of this love of money. Growing inequality between the rich and poor will continue to drive this downward spiral. I hope some of the mouth breathers who post on this site start to think with their brain and not their rednecks and join forces with those who are actually trying to improve the human condition, but this seems unlikely.
The renegades? Ha! They are so depleted and inept.... The bad players in the drug trade who show no qualms about removing any competition are the crew. They are in cahoots with the H.A.'s from larger centres. Made up of younger more violent members who are more than willing to do whatever it takes to gain favor.
You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about these gangs Imorg, is it true that we also have an Asian gang in town that goes by the name Triads? I've heard they are supposed to be the worst.
