Flu Hits Ft. St. John Facility

 Visitors are not  allowed at the North Peace Care Centre in Ft. St. John. The facility has been hit by  a  "flu like illness".

 Fifteen residents of the facility and 9 staff have flu symptoms.

In an effort to contain the spread of the illness, the North Peace Care Centre is closed to visitors, residents with symptoms are being isolated and the Adult Day Program has been suspended until further notice.

Northern Health is testing routine viral swabs to confirm the organism responsible for the outbreak.
