Man Charged in Quesnel Drive by Shooting

Quesnel RCMP say  a  28 year old Quesnel resident has been charged in connection with a drive by shooting early Sunday morning.
Police say the shooting occurred at the Mac’s store on Anderson Drive in Quesnel.
A number of shots were fired in the direction of the store; several bullets hit a vehicle that was parked in the store's parking lot.
A suspect was tracked to a residence on Roddis St. where he was arrested.
Two other people in the home at the time (a Quesnel female and an adult male from the lower mainland ) were released without charges.  
Police say the incident is drug related and that their suspect and  the owner of the  vehicle that was hit by bullets, knew each other.
No firearms have been recovered.
28 year old Robert Simpson is charged in connection with the drive by shooting, he is  being held  on an outstanding warrant for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm in Kelowna.
