Berekoff Leaving

He has been a key player in raising funds for a variety of programs at UNBC, everything from the medical programs trust to the most recent donation by Husky Energy , and he is moving on.

He has been the Executive Director of University Advancement for the past 6 years. During that time he has raised funds for:

research,
for the Medical Programs Trust,
Scholarships,
the Northern Sport Centre

Berekoff is moving to Edmonton to take on a position with a small college where he will help raise funds for their athletic programs.

University President Dr. Don Cozzetto says Berekoff has been an exceptional asset to the University and will be greatly missed.

Berekoff says he has very mixed emotions about leaving " The move is a great opportunity for me and to be close to family, but we love Prince George and we love this University. This City has some great things coming its way."

Berekoff will leave at the end of May.
