This  will be the Easter weekend that  will be  talked about for some time as  Prince George hit a new  record high temperature!

The old mark was 20.20 celsius that was set in 1986.

At  4:00 this afternoon,  Environment Canada was reporting a temperature of 21 celsius, that's good enough for a new  record high for April 7th.

The weather so nice,  there were lots of folks driving their motorcycles,  or  had the top down on the convertible and the snowmobiles were  being replaced by dirt bikes and mountain  bikes.

Sunday is supposed to be a repeat performance, however,  Environment Canada says we are back to reality on Monday with a  forecasted high of  7 and possible showers,  Tuesday  is supposed to be Sunny with a high of 10 and Wednesday  is predicted to be sunny and a high of 8.

The normal daily temperature in Prince George for this time of year is 11.

Yes no more snowmobiles, Now we have the unwashed..uneducated Fools riding their dirt bikes with No Helmets.. No Insurance..No respect for people..They and their Parents should have their ASSES KICKED
Don, sounds like you like to stay home and complain all year round about people having fun and enjoying the outdoors.
By the way what a beautiful day!
Hey Don, sometimes it is the parents not the kids, but I agree with you!
Ands of course there are also those who have their care stereos up so high that i can hear them coming 2 miles away, and i am pretty much deaf....
sad that people have no consideration for others.
But have a good day all.
Actually leaving in about 10 minutes to go out sledding...the season is prime up in the hills...YEEEHA

Happy Easter Don...hope you find cheer and happiness.
Mcfly... HeeHee! Beautiful day in the mountains, like a hot wind in some areas. No jacket most of the day.
I do not stay home/I enjoy my toys, But you do not see me or other law abiding Citizens running our motor bikes..snow machines up and down city streets...With no helmet No Insurance.. Toys that are not even street legal...Yes...I complain about the unwashed lazy uneducated Morons that ride these toys on city streets across private property, RUINING a Beautiful Day for the law abiding Citizens.
I'm with you Don!
Some have missed the whole point of the record temperature. We have it as hot as we do because we are out there rodding around on gass-guzzling recreational vehicles, both in town and out. What ever happened to raking the lawn or riding a human-powered bike? I can go a lot farther, actually, on a liter of milk than drivers can on a liter of gas and its healthier for everyone including the planet.
Happy Easter.

Yes the weather is great. The lawn is starting to show a hint of green. Sorry for those up the Hart who can't even see their lawns yet! But the downside is the smell of dog sh.. in the air and motorcycles, noisy motorcycles. Now I believe there is a noise bylaw. Why is it not enforced. A couple of years ago I tore the exhaust off my truck in the bush. I wasn't back in town 5 minutes and I got stopped with a warning. Now I have to spend all summer having my piece shattered by motorcycles. While I am on a rant how about the ATV's ruining the undeveloped trails in town. They dig deep ruts that make it difficult to walk and darn near impossible to ride a mountain bike. There is a bylaw against that also. Hey great idea for the city to save money, get rid of the bylaw office. Not much seems to happen there anyhow.
"I'm with you Don!"

Count me in. The disrespect for the law shown by those who ride screaming dirt bikes and ATVs up and down busy city streets is stunning!
take a freakin' midol you little bi-atch
Whee! That last post is weird.
I agree as well. Out in my area the little s--ts are flying down the road on quads, dirt bikes and snowmobiles in the winter...no respect at all. We are snowmoblilers also and head for the hills, not the streets. No unlicenced vehicles should be on the streets terrorizing the neighborhood and our animals. Whether or not the weather is good or bad...And yes today was another beautiful day. And to say the last post was weird is an understatement Yama...bi-atch ??? Now thats mature.
With all the RCMP at Timmie's at one time or another, maybe that's why you never see an unlicensed, unregistered, uninsured quad or trail bike pull into the drive-thru there. Law applied equally? How about all them old folks screaming around town on their hopped up quad wheelchairs? Maybe they should be made an example of. Then the young ones might take note.
I think you guys are all discriminating against the recreation riders. Maybe the hot air has a correlation I don't know? I like the sound of a dirt bike because it means someone is out there having fun. Why people complain about other people having fun is beyond me? Better than having kids smoking crack and sniffing gas. I think the trails behind the scales in PG should be designated as recreation vehicle area, as well as parts of Cranbrook hill, and College Heights, and near the airport, and parts between the Hart and the Old Summit Lake Road, and most importantly the area west of Foothills.

The real question we should all be asking is why does a city like PG not have designated recreation vehicle areas that are protected from development?
Also if any of you are the ones that booby trap the trail, I will get you back one of these days when I catch you.
Thats not discrimination Chadermando thats common sense. My kids were taught to walk their bikes to the trail in which they were legal to ride. They were taught to stay out of farmers fields with the snowmobiles and they were also taught that crack and gas were bad for them. They were told what the consequences were for all. Having fun is great, but you have to respect the laws as well as stay safe. They rip down the middle of the streets with these toys and then God help the poor sucker that hits them..
