Glenn Howard has come into his own.

He skipped his rink to an 8-3 victory over Germany to take the World Curling Championship in Edmonton.

The  Championship game between Germany and Team Canada opened with Howard picking up four points in the first end.  Howard never looked back.

Germany took the silver medal, and the USA took the bronze.

During the tournament, the Howard rink never allowed one opponent to steal a point.  They only lost one game in the round robin, that was to the USA with a 7-6 score.
