The flooding on Pine Street  in Prince George this morning had nothing to do with the snowpack or the rivers.  A fire hydrant   was hit by a  dark Ford truck pulling a U-haul trailer.  Police say some residents in the VLA may be without water  for a short time this morning as they  work on the  hydrant repairs.

Neighbours had  spotted the  vehicle running without headlights  late last night and called it in,  but not  before the truck had taken out the fire hydrant and two  street signs.  Police  found the vehicle and  arrested the lone occupant, a 22 year old male from Prince George.  Police are now trying to locate the registered owners of the  truck who are beleived to be from Alaska and staying in a local motel.

The suspect  will appear in court later this morning.

Stolen truck? In the "hood"? Accident? Hope the flooding at least wrecked someones basement grow-op. Big black market for stolen trucks and trailers there?
I know two nice people from washington state who came to prince george years ago and stayed at the Yellowhead Inn. Unfortunately their new truck and boat got stolen overnight. They will never stay overnight in prince george again. The courts are just too lenient on those who commit the crimes. The courts should adopt the USA's practise of handing out significant sentences for property crimes.
Call the judge hanging at noon wednesday. One more week of hangings no more crime...DOZ
TOO BAD THE SCUMBAGS WOULDN'T TARGET THE POLITICIANS , JUDGES , AND ALL THE DOGOODERS HOUSES AND PROPERTY. MAYBEE THEN WE WOULD GET THE LAW UPHELD THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. WISHFULL THINKING.
All true.We need to keep yelling and laying some flak on the politicians. If there is enough of it,maybe it will help them to see the light eventually and finally do something with our justice system.
But I doubt it.
What are these elected good for nothings afraid of? Something is very very wrong.
Hit them at the ballot box. That's our only point of protest that I can see.
