Highway Wash Outs

That's One BIG Hole!!! ( photo Opinion 250 staff)

By now you have seen the photo of the washout on Highway 16 east of Prince George, near Slim Creek. What you see is what is left of the westbound lane 118 kms out of Prince George.

Traffic is getting through single lane alternating.

It was not the only washout on Highway 16. There is another one east of McBride. That one is 38 km east of McBride, and it too is down to one lane single alternating traffic.

There are also troubles on Highway 16 WEST.

There is a wash out 4 km west of Houston. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic. There is also water ponding 4 km west of Houston.

It was reported that just before the slide,a jolly little man was reported standing on the side of the highway laughing histerically.
It was said that he bore an uncanny resemblence to Ben Ginter?

Would not have wanted to be there when it let go....
Looks like a lot of work to get that fixed....
We shall see I suppose.....

Ho Ho Ho Andyfreeze that is hysterical! Is big Ben's ghost having it off on us? Man, he was the king of quick and dirty road building. Would not be surprised if they found Jimmy Hoffa at the bottom of one of those wash outs!

Ain't it the truth MM!Uncle Ben was quite a piece of work! (so THAT'S where Jimmy Hoffa went!I thought it was Alpo!)
I also have heard that there is a few, ahem,"stolen" vehicles down there somewhere that paid a pretty good insurance claim at the time and god knows what else!

OLE BEN DID LOTS OF JOBS LIKE THAT. HE WAS ENSURING LOTS OF WORK FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. LOL. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE..
