It is listed as " A picturesque 12.2 acre lakeside resort".

To those who live in the Prince George region it  is better known as the Loghouse Restaurant.

This summer,  it will be on the auction block  as  one of the  pieces of real estate being  offered for sale through Ritchie Brothers Auctions

The  Loghouse  as it stands now, is the rebuilt version of the  one that burned in the mid 1970's.  Over the years,  it has been  a destination R.V. campground  for  hundreds of  visitors from Germany and Europe.

This is the second local  resort  to be offered  for sale through Ritchie Brothers.  Last year,  the Moose Springs Resort ( formerly Baldy Hughes) sold in a similar auction.

The Loghouse Restaurant and resort will  be offered for sale in an unreserved auction this July.  The exact date for the auction has not  yet been  released.

Maybe it will be more popular with locals if someone else is running it. It would be nice to have another unique place to dine.
metalman.
You are right metalman, this was one of mny favourite places to take people from out of town for supper. It is the type of place which brings out the best of this region's landscape. A great setting to dine and dance. Hopefully someone will resurrect it and be successful at it.
To do well, this place will need more than a restaurent to survive. What else will make it attractive to PG?
A small Inn.

This is on Skaha Lake ....

That is southern in nature .. make it northern ... much of it is already there, just need another building with about 10 rooms or so.

It is the type of place which will lengthen the stay of those tourists who are moving through the region.

This place is not really remote. It is a nice drive from the city for meetings, smll conferences, getting away from the downtown, special family and office functions .. many of those things which have been tried, but need a bit more $ as an investment.

Much better bang for the dollar can be gotten there than with Moose Springs. All you need is money and experience in running such an operation before.
Of course ... getting a hooters franchise out there might assist as well ....

Actually, changing it from a higher price point "fine dining" to mid price point "hearty dining" such as a good Italian restaurant, you know the type with checkered table cloths, smell of bread baking, etc. would likely do better.

Some good lunch and afternoon coffee and pastries on Saturdays and Sundays in the summer could extend the opening times.

Nice terrace overlooking the lake which has a great southern aspect. More of a pub style than a restaurant style.

Maybe pedal boats on the lake .... some place on the shore to take the pedal boats to as a bit of a "destination". This would not make money, but is an add-on which would draw a few people who would spend money elsewhere.

Think of the Laughing Loon in Williams Lake, for instance.
